Terms of Service

Account rules, content rights, and the limits of our service.

By using Arcus you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. The service

Arcus is a social fitness app for sharing lifting workouts. Features include workout logging, public and private posts, social interactions (Hoorays, comments, follows), clubs, and challenges. Features may change as the product evolves.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Arcus.
You're responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID, which is the credential you use to sign in.
You're responsible for activity on your account.
One person, one account. Don't impersonate others.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the posts, photos, videos, comments, and workout data you create.

By posting public content, you grant Arcus a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the app for the purpose of providing the service. This license ends when you delete the content (subject to reasonable backup retention).

You're responsible for your content. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Arcus to:

Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
Post content that's illegal, defamatory, sexually explicit, or that violates someone else's rights.
Attempt to break, probe, or overload the service.
Scrape data or use automated systems against the service.
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

5. Premium features

Some features may be offered on a paid subscription basis in the future. Pricing, billing, and refund terms will be presented at the point of purchase. Apple's standard App Store terms also apply to in-app purchases.

6. Disclaimers

Arcus is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific feature will remain available.

Health and fitness disclaimer: Arcus is not a medical or fitness advisory service. Consult a qualified professional before starting any new training program. Use the workout data and templates at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arcus and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 USD or the amount you paid Arcus in the 12 months before the claim arose.

8. Termination

You can stop using Arcus and delete your account at any time. We can terminate or suspend access for terms violations. On termination, your data is deleted per the Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes will be resolved in the appropriate United States courts. (When Arcus is incorporated in a specific state, that state's law will be named here.)

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
